Welcome back for Week 2! I hope last week went well for you all & that you had time to relax over the weekend.
Here is this week's remote learning plan. The expectation is that you will read it completely on Monday, and then plan accordingly. Now, if you have an extra 7'ish minutes in your life here is an OPTIONAL video I made while Jason and Hayden were out on a walk (so no distracting noise in the background)! If you miss seeing me (ha! not too likely) and want to hear a little bit more about the plans for the week (more likely), please check it out. I am missing all of your lovely faces! And reach out if there is anything you need. And let me know how you are doing. Your physical and mental health is the most important part of this new adventure. Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful week off and are staying healthy!
Here is the document giving you all you will need to know about TOK via remote learning for the week. The expectation is that you will read it completely on Monday, and then plan accordingly. I will try to post on Sunday for the first few weeks, so it is ready to go any time on Monday. We will be learning and working through this remote learning thing together, and I thank you in advance for patience with any issues we experience along the way. And feel free to e-mail me feedback on how I am running the class remotely! I WELCOME IT! And reach out even if it isn't about the schedule. This is going to be a new and possibly bumpy ride for us all. Your physical and mental health is the most important part of it! We will get through this together! Finally, I missing seeing you all regularly and have been so impressed with how you have continued to stick with it, despite the circumstances! Hello!
Thanks to all of you who got the IA done! And remember – if you have not received a “Got it”/Congrats e-mail confirmation from me, I did not get all elements of the IA from you. I sent confirmation to every member of the group – so if you turned something in, YOU should have one. Hang on to it in case there are issues later. If you don't personally have an e-mail from me that starts with "Got it!" and ends with "CONGRATS!" before signing off, you need to reach out to me via e-mail before mid-week - your IA is not complete! Please continue to check your e-mail once a day (every group member) just in case complications arise. We might not have a couple of days to turn things around; it may be only one and if you miss it, we won’t meet the IB deadline. As you wait – if you are looking for some TOK style enrichment in this last week before Spring Break, here are a few things you can do:
After Spring Break we will move in to the Essential Learnings/Standards required for course credit. Stay tuned for more information! Finally, and most importantly, I hope you’re all taking good care of yourselves and your families. Your emotional and physical health is always the priority. If you are experiencing any serious needs, be sure to seek out assistance. I care about and miss you all! Important next steps:
You are almost done with the IA - hang in there! :) I am here to help! |
