Today we checked out textbooks and discussed what it means to know something.
For further enjoyment… take a look at this opinion piece about knowledge and teaching: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/25/opinion/sunday/college-professors-experts-advice.html If you were absent… The prompt for the discussion was “what does it mean to know?”. For make-up work –write out your own answer to the prompt and then get a class mate’s (cite them) discussion notes - put those all together for Journal Entry #1- 9/5 with the heading “To Know?” Also, make a note that you were absent that day right after the heading. Important Dates 9/6: turn in signed syllabus and sign up for turnitin.com (see lower right part of this pages for class codes) – AND – ask the reflection question to a non TOK person, briefly recording the answer in Journal #1… Reminder – each class has a slightly different question, so if you are unsure of the question ask someone who has the same period as you Comments are closed.
